Entry for Historically Accurate Game Jam 12 (Theme is World War 2).

This is a real time (ish) simulation of the Battle of Britain which began on 17 July 1940. The Germans had just defeated France and turned their attention to Britain. They needed to wipe out the RAF before attempting a channel crossing.

You control the allies with your mouse. Click on fighter wings and click again to move them to intercept the Luftwaffe (German) waves of attack.

Zoom in and out using the mouse wheel.

The Luftwaffe bombers will target your ports, cities, radar stations and airfields.

The fighters will try to engage the RAF.

Each day takes 2 minutes of game time.

Repairs and reinforcements happen at the end of the day.

NOTE: your fighters have ammunition for only 1 sortie. Out of ammunition is indicated by a red highlight circle around the aircraft.

They will automatically return to base unless you intervene (a bad idea considering they have no bullets left).

Aircraft repair automatically when landed at an airfield.

Everything was done by me.  I reused components from my existing projects for the graphics, fonts and sounds.

Very cool idea. Very difficult to tell your units from the enemy.

Thank you. All done in a week for game jam. I liked how it turned out  and will probably work on it more.
